Urban Fable
A lot of artists describe the creative process as tapping into what seems to be an universal source of creativity. Often described as as a state that turns you into a medium or instrument for expression of what lies inside the source. This work is an exploration of that thought.
My work is often the result of an idea, clear or vague, that I explore and experiment with in Photoshop, and thereafter edit and adjust to get the result I want.
For this project, it went down like this: I choose a relatively random picture as a base in this project. Thereafter I gave my self full freedom to play around until I found myself in a state of being where I no longer thought at all, I just worked in the flow.
The result is a spontaneous, raw and unpolished artwork. I find it fascinating how symbols and characters often clearly appear out of things that were «random» and not intended.
